Certification and FOGO Program Acceptance
ORIZON’s current ABA AS 4736 certificate ABAP 10126 covers specified printed and coloured compostable shopping and waste bags, subject to the conditions and specifications stated in the applicable certificate.
FOGO liner certification applicability should not be inferred from intended use alone. The proposed liner must be reviewed against the applicable current certificate, product classification and final finished-product specification before certification claims or conformity marks are used.
FOGO Bin Liner Size Guide (8L–240L)
Use bin capacity as a starting point. Final liner dimensions depend on the bin opening and height, the amount of overhang needed, the expected waste load and how the liner will be removed.

These ranges describe applications, not fixed bag dimensions. Bins with the same stated capacity can have different openings, heights and shapes.
8L–10L Kitchen Caddy Liners
The liner should open comfortably around the caddy rim, reach the bottom and leave enough material for the required overhang or closure. For council distribution projects, also confirm the number of bags per roll and the finished roll dimensions.
Where compostable plastic kitchen caddy liners are permitted in a FOGO program, check its certification and acceptance requirements before approving the product.
For kitchens, cafés and workplaces, confirm the expected food-waste load, moisture level and time between liner changes. Specify whether staff will tie and carry the liner when removing it from the bin.
60-120L Green bin liners
Confirm whether the liner is mainly used to keep the bin clean or must carry collected waste during transfer. The intended removal method affects the required fit, film and bottom-seal performance.
Provide the bin model, technical drawing or actual measurements. Check rim fit, bag depth, closure allowance and handling method. Confirm that the collection program and receiving facility permit full-bin liners before specifying this format.

How to Measure a Bin for the Correct Liner
To review the liner specification, provide:
