OK compost HOME Certification

• OK compost HOME certification applies only to products within the scope stated on the certificate.
• The current certificate covers the stated product types — bags for collection of biodegradable refuse and shopping bags (check-out bags) — subject to the certificate conditions, including a maximum nominal thickness of 63 μm.
• The certificate does not cover compostable packaging in general or other product categories merely because they use similar compostable materials.
• The certified product types should be interpreted according to the exact wording and conditions stated on the current certificate and should not be extended to other product categories based on similarity of material, appearance or intended use.
• Product specifications outside the applicable certificate scope should be reviewed separately.
• Changes to product construction, material formulation or other relevant specifications may affect certification applicability.
• Certification of a material or component does not automatically mean that every finished product made from that material is certified.
• OK compost HOME certification should not be presented as evidence that a product holds OK compost INDUSTRIAL certification unless that product is also covered by the applicable OK compost INDUSTRIAL certificate.
• Use of the OK compost HOME conformity mark must follow the applicable TÜV AUSTRIA certification and mark-use requirements.
