Thickness alone is not enough.
Two bags both described as 18 μm can still have different finished weights because of differences in:
- width
- length
- handles
- gussets
- bag structure
- film formulation
- manufacturing tolerance
For MOQ calculations, ask the supplier for:
finished bag weight in grams

This is an important detail to confirm in a quotation.
Ask:
Does the 500 kg refer to raw material input or finished usable bag film?
These are not always identical.
Production may include normal processing loss during:

There is no single industry-wide MOQ format.
Some B2B suppliers publish MOQ by weight.
Others publish it by:
- rolls
- pieces
- boxes
- cartons
